"I traveled a path of buried memories, those from my first 59 years and those decanted into my subconscious self by the stories of my parents and about their parents," Fabio Dal Boni writes in the introduction to "An Extra Life." "I walked with the angels that have always been at my side and whom I was finally able to recognize."
Sarasota artist Fabio Dal Boni designed the cover of his first book, An Extra Life, himself. The colors, blue and white with a gossamer, heart-shaped veil of red, suggest that the book has something to do with sky, and light, and, with that prominent human heart, about the value and significance of human life.
Like the best of Dal Boni’s paintings and art photographs, the book cover is luminous and mysterious, and hints at something deeper.
Extra Life is an inspiring story of love and miraculous rebirths. It is a gripping firsthand account of Fabio Dal Boni’s near-death experiences and his battle against a widow-maker heart attack that less than 10% survive. Told with heart, Fabio’s debut novel is rich in insights into the magical beauty of life, the extraordinary in ordinary things, the existence of angels and heroes inside and around us, and the value of time. An Extra Life provides the reader with a renewed sense of hope and healing and the key to overcoming even the greatest of challenges, enjoying life to the fullest, and chasing one’s dreams without hesitation.
"Fabio Dal Boni’s unique vision and travel experiences are reflected in the unearthly colors of his fine art photography, colors that create lasting blissful emotions and reflect his Renaissance spirit."
